MSc Microbiology is an advanced level post graduate course offered by School of Biological Sciences AIPH University, aimed for biology students deserving to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of microbiology. The MSc Microbiology course at AIPHU has been meticulously designed for the academic enrichment of the enrolled students that intense to train the students in different fundamental and applied aspects of microbiology, that impart both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject to participating students.
Course duration:
The MSc Microbiology course offered by AIPH University is of 2 years duration and follows semester pattern, consisting of four semesters.
Curriculum:
The MSc Microbiology course is based on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) which is a blending of Core and elective papers including both theoretical and practical papers (total 25 papers). The course includes many specialized subjects such as Clinical Microbiology; Food Microbiology; Environmental Microbiology; Bioinformatics; Foundation of Public Health; Intellectual Property Rights; Bioprocess Technology; Enzyme Technology; Metagenomics; Dairy Microbiology; Food Quality and Safety. There is provision of dissertation work for the students to prove their skill and analytical activity during last semester of the course.
Eligibility:
Candidates seeking admission to MSc Microbiology course at AIPH University must have passed 3 years Bachelor’s degree (BSc) Honors or Pass course in Life Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ CBZ (Chemistry, Botany and Zoology) or any other biological science degree examination from a recognized university with at least 45% marks in aggregate or honors.
