Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother. As well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.  This day celebrates the unconditional love that a woman has for her children. Mothers can raise families, even if they are alone, and make any house beautiful and loving with their presence. Every year, we celebrate Mother’s Day – a special day dedicated to honour and recognize the love of all the mothers.  

Mother’s Day is a beautiful occasion that honors and celebrates the unmatchable and vital role of a mother. Not so surprisingly, it is a special day for kids, too as they yearn to make this day memorable for their mothers with their presence, love, and exceptional gifts. A mother’s love for her kids is the backbone of their lives, and it is unconditional and pure. Mother’s Day is a celebration of their significance and greatness. While some countries have a multi-century history of a day to celebrate mothers, the modern American version of the holiday began in the United states in the early 20th century at the initiative of Anna Jarvis. In Hindu tradition, Mother’s Day is called “Mata Tirtha Aunshi” or “Mother Pilgrimage fortnight”, and is celebrated in countries with a Hindu population, especially in Nepal, where mothers are honored with special foods. The holiday is observed on the new moon day in the month of Baisakh, i.e., April/May. International Mother’s day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every May. This year International Mother’s day will be celebrated on 8 May 2022 Mother’s Day celebration was first started in the ancient era by the Greek and Romans. However, its celebration was also noticed in the UK as a Mothering Sunday. It is being celebrated in almost 46 countries of the world on different dates. It is a big event for everyone when they get chance and opportunity to honour their mothers. Earlier, the ancient people of Greek were highly dedicated to their maternal goddesses on the special occasion of annual spring festival. According to the Greek mythology, they were celebrating this occasion in order to honour the Rhea (means the wife of Cronus as well as mother of many deities). Anna Jarvis, known as the Founder of Mother’s Day (also famous as Mother of Mother’s Day) in the US though she was an unmarried woman and never had kids. She was highly inspired by her mother’s (Mrs. Anna Marie Reeves Jarvis) care and love after death and decided to suggest a day for mothers to honour them and symbolized their true love.
